Police in Kitgum district is holding a 54-year old man for allegedly assaulting to death his daughter over a boyfriend.
Geoffrey Okot, a resident of Ocubulatara village in Labongo Amida sub-county in Kitgum district is alleged to have assaulted 16-year old Patricia Atim, a Primary Six Pupil of Akworo Primary school in Labongo Amida sub-County.
It alleged that the suspect and his son identified as Raymond Ochan aged 18 beat up the deceased for visiting her boyfriend on Sunday evening.
Robert Oken, the Officer In Charge Criminal Investigation Department (OC CID) Kitgum Central Police Station confirmed the incident saying the suspects are likely to be charged with murder once investigations are completed.
