Police in Amuru district last night arrested a renowned Nyama choma seller at Pabo trading center in Pabo sub county on allegations of slaughtering and selling dog meat to unsuspecting buyers.
Rubangakene Geoffrey alias Abang aged, 34, was arrested at around 11pm at his resident after he was found skinning a dog.
A case of selling noxious food under SD number 28/05/01/2020 has been opened against him at Pabo police post.
Agaruraha Anxious, the OC Pabo police post confirmed the incident adding that the matter was still under investigations.
this is not the first time police is arresting suspects in connection to the slaughtering of a dog for sale to unsuspecting buyers in Acholi sub region.
In 2015, police at Gulu Central Police Station arrested two men on allegations on suspicion of selling dog meat to residents in Gulu.
