Police in Nwoya district is holding a 17-year old girl for allegedly strangling to death her 7-months old step son over unclear reasons.
The deceased identified as Onen Geoffrey was reportedly strangled by the suspect on Thursday from Pawatomero East village, Purongo Sub County in Nwoya district when his mother identified as Adong Grace 19, had gone to the garden leaving him behind.
Okot Ben, the Local Council Three Chairperson Purongo Sub County told Mega FM that the suspect had returned home two days ago after the husband Okot Sunday chased her away over a domestic misunderstanding.
A postmortem conducted from Anaka hospital indicates the deceased was strangled.
