Gulu District is set to hire services of another District Service Commission to fill up 40 positions in the next one month.
Gulu district currently has no Service Commission after the terms of work for the previous commission expired in January 2021.
According to the council, the district is likely to lose billions of shillings if it fails to fill up the 40 positions before the financial year ends in June.
The district council during a full council meeting yesterday directed the Chief Administrative Officer-CAO to allocate money for hiring a service commission to conduct the recruitment.
Geoffrey Okaka, the CAO Gulu said the service commission to be hired will carry out interviews since the previous commission had already shortlisted candidates.
Okaks said that some of the positions to be filled are District Health Officer and District engineer among others
