Two More Arrested Over Guru-Guru Murder

Two more people have been arrested in connection to the gruesome murder of a man last month in Guru-Guru, Amuru district over a land wrangle.

This brings to four the number of suspects arrested over the death of Apoke Geoffrey who was killed on January 25, 2021 at Got Gweno Sub ward in Guru-Guru Sub county, Amuru district.

His body was found the following day along a road leading to Otici junction with cuts on the head, knee, leg, arms and the back and his body set on fire.

Police then arrested two suspects, two suspects, Okello Richard and Oryema Johnson on February 2, 2021.

Last Friday, two more suspects Obwoya Bosco and Okot Denis were arrested from Pabbo Sub county as they were making plans to flee to Apaa to hide.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the police spokesperson Aswa region, says Obwoya and Okot are in custody in Amuru central police station adding that police was searching for four more suspects.
