At least 30 confirmed Covid-19 patients have not been picked from the community because of lack of space at the treatment unit in Gulu Regional Referral Hospital.
Gulu Regional Referral Hospital has a maximum capacity of 100 patients but up to 123 patients are being treated at the center.
Michael Cankara, the Gulu district surveillance officer, says that the Task force is waiting for some of the patients to be discharged before picking the 30.
Meanwhile, Omoro district Covid-19 Taskforce has today closed Lanenober health centre II in Lakwana Sub County after a health worker tested positive for the virus.
Suzan Akany, the Omoro resident district commissioner says, all the other staff at the unit have been put under quarantine as they wait for their results.
In a related development, 9 more Amuru district Local government staff have tested positive for Coronavirus following a mandatory testing launched last week.
This brings to 17 staff of Amuru that have tested positive for the virus.
They include staff from the Education department, Engineering Department, Health Department and Production.
