The Ministry of Health has announced it’s in the process of purchasing Computed Tomography (CT) scan for all the 14 regional referral hospitals in the country.
According to the Health Ministry, only two hospitals including Mulago National Referral Hospital and Aber Hospital in Oyam district have CT scans.
While addressing stakeholders during the first ever Regional Health Assembly in Gulu today Dr Sarah Byakika, the Commissioner Planning, Financing and Policing at the Health Ministry says funds have already been allocated for the purchase of the CT Scans.
The Regional Referral Hospitals include Gulu, Arua, Mbale and Soroti among others.
