4,600 Pupils in Acholi Fail to Qualify to Join Post-Primary Institutions

At least 4,690 pupils in Acholi sub-region have failed to quality for post-primary institutions after obtaining Division U and X in the 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

According to the just released results by the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB), 4, 185 pupils scored Division U while 505 scored Division X. Out of the over 4,100 candidates who scored Division U, 1,802 were males while 2,354 were females.

Meanwhile out of the over 500 pupils who scored Division X, 264 were males while 241 were females.

In the national exams, 27,720 pupils sat for the final exams at various examinations centres across the eight districts in Acholi sub region. They include 15,225 males and 13,042 females.
