At least 10 men have attempted to commit suicide because of domestic violence in the last one week in Industrial Area Cell, Bardege-Layibi Division in Gulu City.
Margret Oroma, the vice L.C 1 Chairperson Industrial Area said some women are abusing their husbands even when they provide.
She cites a case where some women refuse to cook food even when the men give them money while other women bring their lovers to their houses when their husbands are away.
She said two days ago, a man was rushed to hospital after ingesting poison because his wife had locked him out and refused to give him food.
Solomon Komakech Oturkene, the General Secretary Industrial area said there are many unreported cases of men being abused by their wives.
