50 needy students in Kitgum district have been offered partial scholarships by Lillian Aber, the Kitgum woman Member of Parliament.
The students who were selected from all the 19 sub-counties in Kitgum district and three divisions in Kitgum Municipality sat for Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE in 2021.
According to Aber, the students were selected based on their performance and vulnerability.
Aber will 100,000 shillings as school fees for each beneficiary, while their parents or guardians will pay the remaining balance for four years.
The legislator urged the parents and beneficiaries to choose affordable schools, preferably those in Kitgum district.
