The Gulu City Covid-19 taskforce has resolved to block unvaccinated parents from accessing schools when the academic term resumes in January 2022.

The resolution to block the parents was announced by the Gulu Residents City Commissioner, Denis Odongpiny on Thursday.

Denis Odongpiny says unvaccinated parents will not access schools during any school activities such as visitation days and parents’ meetings among others.

Odongpiny says this move is aimed at protecting the students and the teachers from contracting coronavirus.

The education departments of several districts have already resolved not to allow unvaccinated teachers from accessing schools.

Gulu city has 63.3% of vaccinated teachers both at government and private schools.
