Three people have been killed in two separate hit and run accidents along Gulu-Kampala highway.
The first accident happened at around 4;00pm at Barogal village, Koro Sub County in Omoro District where one Bosco Okello aged 36 died on the spot after being knocked by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Okello was riding motorcycle registration number UEK 802H.
In the second incident that happened at around 6:00pm near Sultan petrol station in Cereleno, a vehicle registration number UAN 091J double Cabin knocked two people who were on a motorcycle registration number UDY 082G Bajaj.
The two died on the spot and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
One of the victims was identified as Denis Opiyo 27 while the other person was not readily identified.
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson said that all the three bodies were taken to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem.
He said police was hunting for the two killer vehicles while the motorcycles were taken to Omoro and Gulu Central Police station respectively.
