Mega FM, one of the leading radio stations in northern Uganda on Friday donated a bull to Muslims Community in Gulu as they prepare to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
However, this time round, the Muslims have been asked to conduct Idd Al Fitr Prayers in their homes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Sheikh Musa Khalil, the Chief Khadi for Acholi Muslim District who received the bull on behalf of the Muslims Community in Gulu thanked Mega FM for the donation.
Rajab Mutebi, the Station Accountant who represented the Station Manager, Ms Irene Atek said despite the challenges businesses are facing as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, they still find it important to reach out to the Muslims Community as they prepare to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
This is the second time the radio station has extended a similar support to the Muslims as they prepare to celebrate Eid al- Fitr.
