Police in Kitgum district is investigating the disappearance of a businessman identified as Michael Acaye from Namukora Sub County.
It is alleged that the 40-year old resident of Kako Central ward in Namukora Town council disappeared on the 10th October 2019 while travelling from Kitgum town to Namukora.
Robert Ocana, the Local Council Three chairperson Namukora Sub County told Mega Fm that Acaye’s disappearance was reported by his wife Fileder Atto aged 36 after the businessman did not arrive home after he had communicated to his relatives that he was on the way.
Acaye’s relatives immediately reported the case to police.
Victor Nahabwe the Deputy Aswa River Region Police Commander said two suspects- Kilama Celsio aged 38 and Can Watum Matayo have been arrested to help in investigations.
Nahabwe says that Acaye was last seen drinking with the suspects at Onyalea central in Namukora Sub County.
Nahabwe has called for calm from members of the community saying police is doing their best to find the business man.
