The Gulu City Coronavirus Taskforce has raised concern over the level of stigma being subjected against Coronavirus patients and their family members.
This comes after unidentified landlord in Kabedopong cell in Bar-dege-Layibi division in Gulu city evicted his tenant on Monday who tested positive for Coronavirus.
According to another report, a family of about seven people who tested positive for the disease also in Bardege-Layibi division was also on Thursday shunned by the community who refused to help them buy food for fear of contracting Coronavirus
The family is said to have called a taskforce member who helped them buy food.
While addressing Journalists this morning, Denis Odongpiny, the Gulu Resident City Commissioner called on the public to desist from such behavior saying anyone can contract the virus.
