Gulu District Health department says it has registered an increase in the number of people getting vaccinated against Coronavirus in the last three weeks.

Over 4,000 people including 1,151 health workers have been vaccinated so far.

Others are security officers, elderly persons, Gulu University students and people with complications among others.

William Onyai, the Gulu District Health Educator who also doubles as the Coronavirus Risk Coordinator told Mega Fm that they have been forced to take the vaccination points to Health Centre III‘s due to the increasing number of people wanting to get vaccinated.

Onyai attributed the high numbers of people getting vaccinated to the spike in infections.

Gulu district has registered a total of 140 cases of Coronavirus in the last one month.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has revealed that there is a significant increase of Covid-19 cases among young people between 10 and 29 years of age.
