Omoro district has registered a total of 330 new coronavirus cases in the last 14 days.
According to reports, the district also registered one death from Covid-19 on Tuesday night.
Areas with the most infections are Te-olam village, Dino and Acet in Odek Sub County and also in Lakwana Sub County.
Okello Vinancio, the Omoro District Health educator has blamed the surge in cases on the lack of adherence to standard operating procedures by the community.
He said Omoro’s positive rate currently stands at 50% above the national level which is at 8%.
Okello said they have embarked on a door-to-door sensitization to help curb further spread of the virus.
Omoro has 883 cumulative cases out of which 330 are under home based care and 7 people have succumbed to the virus while 588 have recovered.
