Two houses were on Thursday burnt down by a mysterious fire in Kirombe Custom corner, Bardege-Layibi Division in Gulu City.
Reports say that the 5:00pm fire burnt down houses belonging to two brothers identified as Ojara Simon and his unidentified brother.
According to Ojara, the fire started when they were holding prayers in a different house in the same compound to chase away an evil spirit that has been haunting the family.
Ojara said that they lost everything in the two semi-permanent houses adding that they are now living in fear.
Oyet Mark, the L.C1 Chairperson Kirombe customs corner has advised the family to seek further assistance from Ker Kwaro Acholi to for a better redress of the matter.
The family has previously lost over 30 grass thatched huts and one permanent house in mysterious fires when they were living in Dika village, Ongako sub county in Omoro district.
The family then shifted to Custom Corner early this month in an attempt to escape from the fires.
