A 38-year old man identified as Onek Ponsiano was on Wednesday killed by his sister in Kitgum district.
The resident of Juba village, Mucwini Sub County in Kitgum district was killed during a fight with his sister identified as Acan Filda at Lacenotinga East village, Akara parish, Mucwini Sub County.
Police says that Onek went to Acan’s bar where he bought alcohol and later asked for his balance of 500 shillings but that Acan refused sparking off a fight between the two.
Acan reportedly overpowered Onek and used a long knife to stab him causing his death.
Aswa River Region police spokesperson, Patrick Jimmy Okema confirmed the incident saying the suspect who was arrested by local leaders managed to escape.
