Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen has been appointed as the first Gulu Resident City Commissioner-RCC by President Yoweri Museveni.
Bewayo, a former Executive Assistant to Esther Mbayo-the Minister for the Presidency has also previously served as Resident District Commissioner for 11- years in districts like Mubende, Amudat, Zombo and Luuka.
Speaking to Mega FM, Bewayo confirmed his appointment saying he will assume office on Tuesday February 9, 2021.
Gulu city is among seven new cities including Arua, Jinja, Mbarara, Fort Portal, Masaka, and Mbale which started operating on July 1, 2020
