Gulu Regional Referral hospital is on the spot for poorly disposing medical waste after an amputated leg was this morning found lying on Eden road-right behind the hospital.
The limb is suspected to have been dragged by a dog from the waste site to the gate of one Dr. J.J Kilama who neighbors the hospital.
A family member who declined to be named said the hospital has been dumping and burning ungraded waste behind the hospital for the last three months.
Dr James Elima, the hospital director refused to comment on the matter instead referring Mega FM to the hospital Senior Principal Nursing officer Norah Nakate who said the waste in question does not belong to the hospital.
Hospital workers were however later seen collecting the limb and other waste from the road into polythene bags.
