Gunman Kills Three In Gulu
Unknown gunman on Monday night shot four people from the same family in Vanguard Parish, Pece division in Gulu Municipality, leaving three dead.
The deceased include Ajok Beatrice, aged 52, Joakim Dan Binyang, aged 18, and Owen Norman, aged 20, a senior six student at Pope John Paul Nakaseke.
The injured has been identified as Apwoyo Rwot Peace, aged 8 and she has been rushed to St Mary’s Hospital Lacor for treatment.
She was shot in the left thigh and lost too much blood but in stable condition.
According to Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa River region police spokesperson, the suspect has been identified as Cpl Okello Geoffrey, a Uganda People Defense Force (UPDF) officer attached to the 4th division in Gulu. Okema adds that the suspect was still on the run.
The deceased bodies were taken to Gulu Referral Hospital’s mortuary pending postmortem and inquiries.
