Gulu District Council has today approved two more nominees for the Gulu district Service Commission.
The two approved nominees are Lamunu Venis-the former Headteacher of Lakwatomer primary School and Orac Julius-a former senior academic registrar at Unyama National Teachers’ College.
Old members Oketokeny Phillips who is the Chairperson and Moro Charles Lumumba (member) were maintained because their term of office has not expired.
The nominees were presented by the District Chairperson, Christopher Opiyo Ateker during a full council meeting today.
Ateker noted that he will next week present the nominees to the Public Service Commission for approval.
Ateker said that the approval of the service commission will help address staffing gaps through recruitment and also rewarding, disciplining and promotion of staff.
