The High Court in Guluwas on Thursday sentenced to 34-years imprisonment a woman found guilty of killing her husband in Okwoto village, Lii Parish, Koch Goma subcounty in Nwoya District.
33-year-old Angwech Molly was sentenced by Justice Stephen Mubiru who noted that prosecution has proved beyond reasonable doubt that Angwech committed the offense.
prosecution told court that on the 11th of September, 2018, from Lakwoto village, Lii parish, Koch Goma subcounty in Nwoya District, Angwech and her son aged murdered Ogom Richard contrary to section 188 and 189 of the Penal Code Act.
According to prosecution, Angwech who was in a love relationship with another man, beat Ogom with the help of her son leaving him dead along the road leaving her shoe at the scene.
Mubiru sentenced her to 34 years saying that the death was aggravated because Angwech was already in love with another man.
