A police gun that went missing on Monday at Wol Police Post in Agago district was this morning recovered.
The gun number UG Pol UD 5074/1998/15727was recovered at around 7:00am at Wold Sub county headquarters by an office attendant Gloria Lamaro in front of the Sub County chief’s office.
Lubega Samson, the Agago District Police Commander said that a suspect-Basil Omiya was arrested after the police dog led officers to his home.
Lubega said that Omiya who is a resident of Bugweng cell in Wol town council will be transferred to Patongo central Police Station.
Meanwhile, the officer in charge Wol police post Cherop Mohamed who was on Monday arrested over the gun was still in custody by press time.
