World Vision Uganda on Tuesday donated medical equipment worth 100 million shillings to Gulu and Omoro Districts Corona virus Task Force to help in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 that has hit the country. Uganda’s COVID case has risen to 58 cases.
Items donated includes cotton wools, Aprons surgical, heavy duty gloves, sample carriers, liquid soap, Nasal prongs for adults and children, safety gaggles, scrub suit, inlared thermometer, zip lock bag, Apron disposable, gumboots, handing washing facilities and dustbins among others.
Charles OJangole, the World Vision Uganda Program Manager says their interest was to ensure that health workers have the necessary equipment to respond to COVID-19 emergencies.
Suzan Akany, the Omoro Resident District Commissioner who doubles as the district Coronavirus Task Force chairperson thanked world vision for the support.
