Uganda’s COVID-19 Positive Cases Rise to 724
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 724 after results released by the Ministry of Health this morning added another 19 cases to the count.
The 19 samples were among the 2,212 samples that were tested on Monday.
13 of the confirmed cases were from alerts and contacts of people within communities in Jinja, Amuru, Kyotera, Tororo, Gulu and Wakiso.
The other six were from points of entry. According to the health ministry, the increase in community cases ushers the country into stage three of the disease which is worrying.
To date, 351 people have recovered from the disease in the country.
