Police in Koboko district is investigating the drowning of three people in a well at Grina Gardens Hotel in Lipa Cell, South Division.
The deceased are Zamali Edward aged 38, Candia Bosco aged 36 and Dramile Robert aged 23, all residents of Koboko.
They reportedly drowned at 12:00pm yesterday.
A police report says that Candia and Dramile died while attempting to save their colleague Zamali, who had accidentally slid into the well while using a generator to pump water into the 13-feet tank.
Angucia Josephine, the West Nile Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the report, adding that a team of police officers rushed to the scene and retrieved the three bodies and took them to Koboko Government Hospital for postmortem.
