Andrew Ojok Oulanya, the Omoro County Member of Parliament, has been elected Uganda Rugby Union (URU) vice president, the national rugby body.
Ojok, son of the late speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah joined the executive having beaten Nathan Wasolo and Salem Cheman to the vice President seat.
Godwin Kayangwe retained his seat as the URU president during an Elective AGM held at WIN5 Hotel in Nakasero on Sunday.
Peter Odong retained his seat as the Secretary of the Union having beaten Regina Lunyolo who has been the women’s representative in the previous executive.
A total of eight executive members were elected to office during an elective assembly.
The executive committee’s key role will be coordinating and promoting rugby across the country.
