Man Shot In Agago For Defying Curfew
A 28 year old man is nursing bullet injuries at Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial hospital Kalongo after he was shot in the leg by security for defying presidential directive on curfew that runs from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Willies Oloya, a resident of Langwech village in Adillang sub county Agago district was shot at around 11:30 pm while drinking in a local bar in the village.
Dr. Smart Okot, the chief Executive director Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial hospital Kalongo says the bullet ruptured Oloya’s left leg.
This comes shortly after a 35 year old resident of Adyang B village in Chegere Sub County, Apac district was also shot in the leg for defying the directive on curfew.
Patrick Angole was shot in the right leg on Sunday evening at around 10 Pm after he and over 30 others were found drinking in a local bar during curfew hours.
Meanwhile, nine people including bar owners were on Tuesday arrested by police in Kitgum district for defying presidential directive on curfew.
The nine, including 5 men and 4 women, were found drinking pass the curfew hours.
Moses Bwire, the Kitgum District Police Commanders (DPC) confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspects were released after doing community service.
