A 28-year old man in Gulu district identified as Ojok Oscar was on Friday morning hit by an explosive while digging.
The incident happened at around 8:00 am in Wilul village, Paicho Sub County in Gulu district while Ojok was working in a garden belonging to one Fred Ocaka.
Ojok and three others were reportedly weeding cassava when the explosive went off injuring him on the thigh, stomach and right hand.

The explosive is suspected to have been abandoned by Lord’s Resistant Army (LRA) during the peak of the over two decades of insurgency.
In January 2017, bomb blast injured six children in Pader district after it went off accidently while they were playing with it.
In a similar incident in 2013, two children died instantly in Pader District after the grenade they found in a garden and they were playing with exploded, killing them.
