A woman has committed suicide in Gulu City after too much pressure to repay her loans.
The deceased identified as Aciro Nancy aged 38 and a resident of Lawiyadul in Laroo Pece division in Gulu City went missing from her home two weeks ago, according to reports.
Her decaying body was on Monday discovered in her brother’s house in Ajuku Cell also in Laroo-Pece Division.
Oola Peter Mike, the Local Council One Chairperson of Ajuku cell said Aciro is suspected to have borrowed unspecified huge amounts of money from two Micro-finance institutions and a local saving groups which she failed to pay back.
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa River region Police spokesperson said reports show that the deceased had tried to commit suicide twice before succeeding the third time.
Mudong said that Aciro leaves behind three children including a one year two months old baby.
