Gulu Prisoner Tests Positive For Covid-19
Pece local prisons in Pece prison cell, Pece-Laroo division in Gulu City has been sealed off after one of the inmates tested positive for Covid-19. The inmate was brought to the detention facility on June 30th from Elegu border point.
Frank Baine, the Uganda Prison Services Spokesperson says the patient has already been evacuated to the treatment center at Gulu regional referral hospital.
Baine adds that all the inmates and staff at the facility plus their families have been put under quarantine waiting test to ascertain their health status.
Amuru district has registered cumulatively over 200 positive Covid-19 cases mostly from Elegu border post.
