Gulu Covid-19 Response Ambulance Breaks Down
A brand new ambulance that was recently donated to Gulu regional referral hospital by the Ministry of Health for Covid-19 responses has developed mechanical problems, just weeks after it was deployed in the field.
Ambulance registration number UBG 976E, a Tata make, was handed over to Gulu regional referral hospital on May, 7, 2020.
However, according to Dr. James Elima, the hospital director, the vehicle broke down on Wednesday while transporting a Covid-19 patient to Lira regional Referral hospital.
Gulu regional referral hospital services all the eight districts in Acholi sub region. Currently it is treating 14 confirmed active cases.
