Gulu and Bulambuli districts were among the six districts in the country that received the heaviest rainfalls in September, according to a new weather forecast report.
The rainfall performance reported by the Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) and dated November 11, 2022 indicates that Gulu recorded 351.6mm of rain in September.
This is the highest recorded in the country in the month of September.
The amount of rainfalls were recorded in the last 23 days of September.
Bulambuli district was second, receiving 329.8mm of rain during the same period.
Others are Masaka (265.2mm), Nakasongola (259.4mm), Mubende (257.1mm) and Bududa (251.5mm).
Meanwhile, Kotido received the lowest of rainfall with just 45.8mm followed by Kitgum with 90.5mm.
The current rain is expected to last until end of December.
