Family survives arson attack in Gulu town

A family and its friends on Tuesday night survived an arson attack after unknown person set ablaze a grass thatched hut they were in at Forest ward in Gulu town.
The grass thatched hut belonging to a woman identified as Atim Susan aged 26 went into flames at around 01:00 am.
According to Atim, they were about four people including a child conversing inside the hut when it went in flames.
Atim alleges that an arsonist she did not name is behind the attack.
In January this year, the ex-wife and children of the indicted former Lord’s Resistance Army-LRA commander Dominic Ongwen survived an arson attack in the same area after their house was set ablaze.
