Elephant Invasion


Several numbers of in pupils of Kinene primary school in Bwobomanam B village, Bwobomanam parish, Alero sub-county in Nwoya district have been locked off from going to school following the two elephants that have for the past two days crossed to the area from Murchison national park.

Otto Charles Lacede the local council one chairperson of Bwobomanam B village said for the past four days people have not been going to the garden due to fear of their life adding that one of the elephants also early this morning at around 6 am.

When contacted Rubangakene Geoffrey the game warden in charge of Wangkwa post said they are aware of the issue adding that they are mobilizing rangers before the end of today to go and drive off the elephants.

On 7th October at least two elephants were found in the home of Nwoya woman member of parliament Adong Lillian in Kal sub ward, Ceke ward in Anaka town council and later driven off to the Murchison national park.
