COVID-19 Taskforces In Acholi Sub Region Get Donations
More donations continue to pour in for the COVID-19 Taskforces in Acholi sub region.
On Thursday, Football for Good Sports Academy donated 30 boxes of washing soap and 200 litters of liquid soap worth 1.8 million shillings to the Gulu district Coronavirus Task Force.
Also on Thursday, Gulu University donated 750kgs of Posho worth 1.5 million shillings to the Gulu district Coronavirus Taskforce.
Rotary Club of Gulu also donated 50 litters of liquid soap, three boxes of soap and three hand washing facilities with stands, bucket and basin to the district Coronavirus task force to help in the fight against COVID 19.
Kalyani Foods, a wholesale shop in Gulu town donated 360 litres of cooking oil, 400 packets of salt and Fuel worth 2.2 million shillings to the Task Force.
Total E & P and Total Uganda Limited donated 37.6 million shilling through the Uganda Red Cross Society to buy food and medical items to aid in the fight against the Corona Virus (COVID-19) in Nwoya district,
Irene Gleeson Foundation (IGF), a faith based Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Kitgum and Lamwo districts on Thursday donated 1000 radio handsets to Kitgum district coronavirus taskforce to be distributed to the locals in the hard reach villages to enable them get timely information on COVID-19.
Equator Seeds Company limited Kitgum district also donated to the Kitgum Coronavirus ask Force one million shilling cash and 100 kgs of posho.
New Life Battery donated 100 empty 20 liters jericans and 40 litters of liquid soap worth 600,000 shillings to the Omoro district Coronavirus Task force.
