90 babies were born on Christmas Day at health facilities in Acholi Sub Region sampled by Mega Fm.
At St Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Gulu City, 24 babies including two sets of twins were born. The newborns include 16 boys and eight girls.
According to figures obtained by Mega FM, 15 of the births were normal deliveries while seven were through caesarian section.
At Dr. Ambrossoli Memorial Hospital Kalongo in Agago District, ten babies were born on Christmas Day.
9 were normal deliveries while one baby was delivered through caesarian section.
In Omoro district, 22 babies were born on Christmas day at the 24 health facilities in the District.
12 of the newborns are male while 10 are female.
According to Okot Margret Ayat, the Assistant District Health officer, all births were normal deliveries.
At Anaka general hospital in Nwoya district, eight babies including three girls and five boys were born on Christmas.
Purongo Health Center III in Nwoya district registered a boy and a girl were born, all through normal deliveries.
Atiak Health Center IV in Amuru district also registered two births of a boy and girl.
Meanwhile, 23 babies including 9 boys and 14 are girls were born at the 20 health facilities in Lamwo district.
