Armed South Sudanese Raid Cattle From Lamwo

Armed South Sudanese last night raided 15 heads of cattle from a kraal in Agula-Odiciri village, Agoro Sub County, in Lamwo District.

Denis Onyon, the Agoro Sub County LCIII chairperson says five of the stolen cattle were later recovered after members of the UPDF pursued the raiders.

The persistent incursion of armed South Sudanese cattle thugs in parts of Lamwo district is impacting negatively on livestock and crop farming.

The most affected are Agoro and Madi-Opei sub Counties, which border South Sudan.

The two have registered increased cattle raids resulting in death or grievous harm to residents since January this year.
