A woman and her three children survived an arson attack in Amuru district after her husband reportedly set ablaze the house they were sleeping in at Olinga Village in Pabbo Sub County.
The suspect David Otema aged 35 is reportedly on the run.
Okema allegedly set fire to a house his wife Auma Concy and childreb were sleeping in at around 11:00pm last night.
Charles Openy, the Local Council One chairperson Olinga village said the four people would have died if it wasn’t for the neighbors because the suspect had locked the door from outside.
Openy said the couple has been having misunderstandings for a long time with the man demanding that his wife leaves their home for a new found woman adding that attempts by local leaders and clan to mediate over the matter have been futile.
Openy said he has now referred the matter to police.
