Amuru: Thugs Vandalise School Lightning Arrestors
Two primary schools in Lamogi Sub County in Amuru District have been left vulnerable to lightning strikes after suspected thieves stole six lightning arrestors.
The affected schools are; Keyo Primary School and Tekibur Primary School.
Metal thieves stripped Keyo and Tekibur Primary Schools of copper taping used to conduct lightning strikes from its roofs to the ground.
Two schools in the neighbouring Omoro District have also registered two similar cases in the last two months.
Michael Lakony, the Amuru District LCV Chairperson told Mega FM in an interview that they suspect that the six copper tapping was stolen a week ago by a group of organized criminals.
Lakony has now tasked night watchmen deployed to guard schools property to always be on the lookout.
