Amuru: Five Arrested With 400Kg of Ivory


Gulu police are holding five people found in possession of over 400 kilograms of ivory.

The suspects are Juma Nasuru, Cosmas Apuke, Moses Kakama, Christopher Wamala and Vincent Kamya.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the River Aswa Region Police Spokesperson this morning said that the suspects were from different locations in Amuru district and locked up at Gulu Central Police Station.

The exhibits are at Gulu Central police station. Amuru neighbours Nwoya district, which hosts hundreds of elephants in Murchison Falls National Game Park.
