A total of 74 children were born on New Year 2020 from various health units in Acholi and Lango sub regions.
19 including 11 male and eight girls were born from St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor. Normal births were 14 and five were by caesarian section.
19 babies including 13 males and six females were also delivered at Gulu Regional referral hospital. All the deliveries including two sets of twins were normal.
Five other babies including three girls and two boys were born from Awach health center IV, in Gulu district.
Two babies including a boy weighing 4.7 kilogram and a girl weighing 3.2 kilogram were born from Anaka hospital on New Year day.
Sister Stella Amuge Scholastica Oryang, the Matron of Anaka hospital told Mega FM that all the births were normal, adding that all are doing fine.
At Dr. Ambrozoli Hospital Kalongo, eight children including four girls and 4 boys were born through cesarean section.
Six children including three boys and three girls were also delivered at Apac General Hospital.
Six others deliveries including three males and three females were conducted at Aboke Health Centre IV in Kole district while two, a boy and girl were delivered Anyeke Health center IV in Oyam district.
At Kitgum main hospital, seven including twin boys were delivered.
