67 Isolated in Omoro For COVID-19
At least 67 people including health personnel have been quarantined at Opit senior secondary school in Omoro district after a resident handed himself over to authority claiming his boss, a Kenyan national, has tested positive of covid-19 in Kenya.
According to Suzan Akany, the Resident District Commissioner, the man walked into Lanenober health III on Monday after developing symptoms of covid-19 and disclosed that he was in close physical contact with his boss.
Those taken into isolation center include 46 patients who had gone for treatment, 3 medical personnel and 18 family members who were with the suspect.
RDC Akany says they decided that all the 46 patients at the health centre and 18 family members of the suspect be isolated awaiting test results.
The Ministry of health has so far confirmed 33 positive cases of the deadly coronavirus disease ever since its first outbreak was announced a week ago.
