The Deputy Chief Justice Hon. Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo while addressing stakeholders at Gulu High Court castigated lawyers for neglecting criminal cases for civil ones that fetch more money.
Owiny Dollo reminded the lawyers that though there is a lot of money in civil matters, lawyers should know that their profession is not for trade.
Justice Owiny Dollo would be assisted by Justice Percy Night Tuhaise, Justice Remy Kasule and Justice Kenneth Kakuru.
The Director of Public Prosecution, Justice Michael Chibita who led the prosecution team says that decentralizing the court of appeal will address case backlog and reduce the rampant cases of people taking the law into their hands.
