At least 31 patients were yesterday left stranded for hours at Patuda health center II, Koch Ongako Sub County in Omoro district after finding the health facility closed.
Odora Christopher, the speaker Ongako Sub County who visited the facility following complaints said the facility was closed from morning until 2:00 pm.
Odora says he found out that all the staff at the health center went for training at the Sub County head quarters.
However, when contacted, the in charge of Patuda health centre II, Milly Akello told Mega fm that they locked the facility at 11:00 am after serving all the available patients.
Akello said that they closed after receiving a call from the district health office asking her to send 4 workers for training on mass measles-rubella and polio immunization at the sub-county headquarters.
