10 Men Nursing Wounds After Being Battered By Wives in Atiak
Men in Atiak Sub County, Amuru District who are allegedly being battered by their wives have started opening up and seeking redress from the authorities.
At least 10 have opened up and reported the matter to local authorities in their areas in the past one week.
The latest incident happened on Wednesday evening where a 41 year old man was allegedly battered by his a 32 year old wife for returning home late.
He is now hospitalised at Atiak Health Centre IV with injuries on the lip and hand.
According to Wilfred Odiya Baguma, the Local Council Three chairperson Atiak Sub County seven of the victims are nursing injuries on their hands, faces and head sustained during fight with their wives.
Emmanuel Bwambale, the Amuru District Police Commander has confirmed the rise in cases of violence against men in Amuru District.
