Ocer Campion emerges best in Acholi sub region


Ocer Campion Jesuit College in Gulu has emerged the best school in Acholi Sub region in the ranking of schools released yesterday by Uganda Certificate of Education-UCE results.

The school had 39 students in first grade with the best student Atimango Jackline scoring 10 aggregates.

Atimango is ranked at number 175 in the whole country.

St Joseph College Layibi is second with 61 first grade, Archbishop Flynn SS Pader third with 24 first grade, Archbishop Negri College Gulu came fourth with 11 first grade, Sacred heart Gulu fifth with 24 first grade, Pader Girls SS sixth with 3 first grade.

Pope John Paul 11 college in Gulu emerged 7th with 20 first grade, Kitgum high school 8th with 12 first grade, Kitgum comprehensive college 9th with 23 first grade, Rev. Jabuloni Issoke Memorial College 10th with 13 first grade.

Meanwhile in district rankings, Pader came first in Achol sub region with 22% of students passing in first and second grade, followed by Gulu with 19%, Amuru in 3rd place (13%), Kitgum 4th (13%), Lamwo 5th (13%), Agago 6th (12%) and Nwoya in last position with 6% of students passing in first grade.
