MP Zaake Out On Bail

Gulu High Court presided over by the resident Judge Justice Stephen Mubiru this morning granted a non-cash bail of five million shillings to Francis Zaake, the embattled Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament.

The legislator was a week ago charged with treason and remanded to Gulu Prison by Gulu Grade One magistrate, Isaac Kintu.

He and 35 others are being accused of stoning the president’s motorcade during the chaos that marred the August 2018 by-elections in Arua.

Others are Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Jinja Municipality MP Paul Mwiru, Ntungamo Municipality MP Gerald Karuhanga, Arua Municipality MP Kassiano Wadri and former Makindye East MP Michael Mabikke, among others.
